Plastic waste is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time. But at National Plastic Industries, we see it as a resource — not a burden. Through advanced recycling techniques, we transform damaged HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) and LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) materials into high-strength monofilament yarn, helping to build a cleaner, circular future for Nepal.
Monofilament yarn is a single continuous strand of plastic-based fiber commonly used in:
Rope and twine manufacturing
Fishing nets
Brush bristles
Agricultural and packaging products
Durable, versatile, and lightweight — it’s an essential component in a wide range of industrial and domestic goods.
At National Plastic Industries, we've developed a streamlined, in-house process to recycle post-industrial and damaged plastic materials into functional, high-quality monofilament yarn.
Damaged HDPE and LDPE products from production waste and rejected batches are collected and sorted.
The sorted plastic waste is cleaned, shredded, and melted to form recycled plastic granules — the raw material for further processing.
These granules are then melted again and extruded into long, thin plastic threads through precision nozzles.
The threads are cooled, stretched, and woven together to form monofilament yarn — strong, flexible, and ready for use in new products.
By recycling HDPE and LDPE into monofilament yarn, we are:
β Reducing landfill waste
β Minimizing virgin plastic consumption
β Creating value from discarded materials
β Promoting a circular economy in Nepal
At National Plastic Industries, sustainability isn't a side project — it’s central to our mission. Our commitment to eco-friendly practices, waste reduction, and innovative recycling makes us a leader in Nepal’s plastics industry.
We believe that every bit of plastic should serve a purpose — and be reused, not wasted.
Let’s Build a Cleaner Tomorrow Together
